Arrived June 2024. Bagged at origin in 60-kilo GrainPro® bags. Please order early. We usually run out before new shipment arrives. We now also ship in 50-lb boxes to save on shipping costs!
Unfortunately, unless you buy 4+ FULL (132 lbs.) bags we are forced to pass a warehouse fee of $49 per bag. It is cheaper to ship 4+ ( without a warehouse fee) bags via truck (LTL), anywhere. This does not apply to smaller orders.
These green (un-roasted) coffee beans come from several farmers in the Caranavi region of Bolivia. Since 2005 we have been buying cupped-by-the-bag coffee at guaranteed minimum prices, based on quality, as part of a multi-year contract with several farmers, many times buying all of their production. The 2023/24 crop is from the San Juan Cooperative. We are very happy with our long term relationship with them and we have already seen significant improvements in the quality of their coffee and the lives of the farmers. We are proud to be the main source and inspiration for both improvements. These coffee beans are 100% Specialty Arabica (Tipica 20%, Caturra30%, Catuai 20%, Icatu 30%), certified organic and Fair Trade and shade-grown in the higher altitudes. These coffee beans were de-pulped and washed using pure Andes mountain-spring water, sun-dried on wooden table tops and hand selected by "Palliris" (Aymara Indian women food graders).
Retail sales (out of Salisbury) are certified by Baystate Organic Certifiers. Wholesale orders (132 lbs. and more) are certified by Control Union.
