Unfortunately, unless you buy 4+ FULL (132 lbs.) bags from NJ we are forced to pass a warehouse fee of $49 per bag. It is cheaper to ship 4+ (without a warehouse fee) bags via truck (LTL), anywhere. This does not apply to smaller orders.

These 2022/23 harvest green (unroasted) coffee beans come from several farms in the Caranavi region of Bolivia. Since 2005 we have been buying cupped-by-the-bag coffee at guaranteed minimum prices, based on quality, as part of a multi-year contract with several farmers, most of the time buying all of their production. This year our Fair Trade organic (FTO) coffee comes from ASOCAFE in the Taipiplaya region on the road to Kantutani, where one of our farms is located.  We are very happy with our long term relationship with them and we have already seen significant improvements in the quality of their coffee and the lives of the farmers. We are proud to be the main source and inspiration for both improvements. These coffee beans are 100% Specialty Arabica (Tipica 50%, Caturra 10%, Catuai 20%, Icatu 20%), grown under organic certification and shade-grown in the higher altitudes These coffee beans were de-pulped and washed using pure Andes mountain-spring water, sun-dried on wooden table tops and hand selected by "Palliris" (Aymara Indian women food graders).

Because of their flavor and aroma (see cupping notes below) we prefer a moderately dark (#45 Agtron/SCCA) roast for these coffee beans. However, other roasters prefer it darker-roasted. Some roasters use it as a single-origin, others use it as a mandatory component of their special "secret" blend. Try all combinations and you decide!
